Ground covers provide several benefits to your native landscapes. They fill in empty spaces and help blend together other vegetation areas. They also offer an excellent height option, especially when you want to fill in an area but not detract from other prominent plants in your garden. You may also want to consider as a ground cover low-growing (< 1 foot) wildflowers, such as Hairy Golden Aster, Stonecrop, Fuzzy-tongue Penstemon, and Prairie Smoke.
Availability of the groundcovers listed here may vary at times during our season.
